I Have Had it With the Media

On a beach in San Diego, a seal pup gets tangled in a fishing net. Authorities warned people to not go near the animal to try a rescue, but a group of people claim they did just that, freeing the seal.

Before I Go Any Further
Let me make it absolutely clear before I write another word–I love animals. If I happened upon this seal, in this condition, I most likely would have hopped the fence to cut the net from around his cute little neck. So why am I annoyed? I am annoyed because thirty thousand children, age 5 years and younger, died in the last 24 hours and our news media is keeping silent about it.
Furthermore…
I’m annoyed because the majority of us care more for these cute little animals than we do our cute little children. Don’t believe me? How many of you would have done ’something’ to rescue that seal? Now how many of you are willing to do something to save a single child?
The man who cut the net from that seal’s neck is facing fines that could exceed thousands of dollars; he could even do jail time! I certainly applaud his efforts–I really do. I hope I would have done the same thing. But how many of us are willing to part with $1.03 a day in order to save a child’s life?
Priorities People
YES! Let us protect and save the animals whenever we are able, but let us never forget the children who need our protection and rescue at this very moment. Let’s face it folks, as sad as it is, the networks are not going to report the truth in regards to our children, so we have to take it upon ourselves to make the difference–Sponsor a child today.

Praying for you and for your broken heart to serve these kids.
God bless you Kristi
