I am a Christian. You might say I’m a conservative Christian, but I won’t, primarily because I don’t know how you define that word. Better to just say that I believe God‘s word the Bible to be as 2 Timothy 3:16 records…
“Given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
I also believe that being a follower of Christ is a full time endeavor and that gratitude prevents it from being a task or a chore. Although I might occasionally say, “I work for Jesus,” the truth is that I am a willing bond servant. I was dying and doomed and Jesus rescued me — I am forever grateful. For me, Christian service is but a manifestation of a believer’s gratitude, a sometimes private, sometimes public expression of thankfulness. Jesus does not require it — it is a natural reaction that frankly just bubbles forth.
And its alive.
As faith grows, so does my appreciation. One could say that Christian maturity is directly related to how well a follower understands and grasps where he or she was, spiritually speaking; where they were headed, eternally speaking; and how they were spared from it all, graciously speaking.
As a consequence, I blog. That is to say, I write about Jesus stuff. I don’t always do it as well as like and I have even made some errors along the way, but through it all, God has always gotten the glory, the praise, and the honor.
The B’log in My Eye
The title reminds me that I’m God’s work-in-progress as well. In other words, the stuff I write is for me too; these are things I need to remember or practice or avoid as I walk along the Christian path of faith. So, if the Holy Spirit convicts you through any of these words or Bible verses, please know that He probably convicted me first.
As I already pointed out: I make errors. If I do, please LEAVE a COMMENT and let me know. Of course, please send along the appropriate Bible verses to support your position. As Christians we are to be as iron sharpening iron!

Nice job Dave! As James 2 says, saving faith will always produce works. If you believe that you have been saved, but are apathetic about doing the Good works that God prepared in advance for you do to (Eph 2:10), you’re likely missing the point. Gratitude will always flow from the children of God!
After all, isn’t gratitude the appropriate response from one who has received grace?
Keep blogging brother!
