If the photograph on the left is any indication, then the answer is yes! Why then does the President of the United States want to support an Al Qaeda-infested rebel force seeking to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad‘s Syria? It doesn’t matter that Assad is evil, Al Qaeda is OUR enemy and if we do anything to support them, it’s an act of treason.
Am I overstating the issue?
Is treason too strong a word to use in regard to the intended actions of the POTUS?
You decide…
Aid and Comfort:
To render assistance or counsel. Any act that deliberately strengthens or tends to strengthen enemies of the United States, or that weakens or tends to weaken the power of the United States to resist and attack such enemies is characterized as aid and comfort.
Article 3, section 3, clause 1 of the U.S. Constitution specifies that the giving of aid and comfort to the enemy is an element in the crime of Treason. Aid and comfort may consist of substantial assistance or the mere attempt to provide some support; actual help or the success of the enterprise is not relevant.
If the president drops one bomb on Syria, guess who he is aiding and comforting?
That’s right – our enemy: Al Qaeda.
What’s our recourse?
Short of prayer, I’m not 100% certain, so let’s begin with that and be persistent in it! I trust that the Lord will guide His children in how we are to respond. I do know that God in His word instructs us to be subject to the governing authorities (Romans 13:1), so as good subjects we should vote when we’re able and encourage those in power to do what’s morally and Biblically right.
Treason is a stipulation of our Constitution, therefore anyone who violates it needs to be prosecuted. Untied State citizens (subjects) in good-standing need to lovingly stand behind any effort to remove law-breakers from our society, even if it is the president. As ‘good subjects’ we must see to it that our laws are enforced.
We also should be praying for our president (and those who support his position on aiding Al Qaeda), that they would adhere to the laws of the United States. More importantly, that he (and others) would act like the Christian that they say they are. Our prayers in this regard are essential and any implementation should not be ignored or rejected.
The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.” He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure: “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.” (Psalm 2:2-6)

I agree with your assessment 100%, ‘that sometimes you need to act,’ but I have submitted to you that this is not the time. I am not behind our president on this one.
Have you ever stopped to consider who our only allies are in this endeavor to bomb Syria? While France is still a ‘maybe,’ the only ones supporting us are the very people who flew planes into the Twin Towers 12 years ago today,
That should send a chill up and down your spine. Frankly, I’m not sure whose side the president is on anymore. Please pray for him.

Four things I want to say:
1. There is no need to cuss, if you can’t say it without cussing go back to school.
2. Treat others the way you want to be treated.
3. Just because you don’t agree with someone doesn’t mean that they are wrong.
4. My king Jesus is bigger and in control of everything it’s not up to the president or anyone else but Jesus!

How can you talk so much about God, and then protest doing anything to help children from being murdered? I’m not talking about grown men…I’m talking about the children. Have you watched the videos of the after effects of the chemical poisoning that was ordered in Syria? It turns me against Christianity when I hear people claiming to be Christians and speaking of the Bible and God, only to turn a blind eye to cruelty and acts against women and children. What would have happened to the remaining Jewish community had Hitler been permitted to continue his murdering?

Holly, I certainly understand what you are saying, but the truth of the matter is that both factions (that is Al Asaad’s government and the Al Qaeda-infested rebel forces) are BOTH evil. For the USA to attack either side is to make the other side stronger (i.e., more evil).
The solution here begins with God. If there is to be peace, it will come when both sides opt to repent and turn to Jesus. The truth be told, Holly, if you want peace in YOUR life, you need Jesus too.
Here is a link to my today’s blog. Please read it:

Dave, what is wrong in Syria has nothing to do with Jesus or government. The wrong that happened was that innocent children were murdered. Period. People can twist things any way they want, but the core thing is that CHILDREN were killed. If nobody steps in to protect children, then what? Is that what you proclaim Jesus would want people to do if he walked down your street today? Do you believe he would say “turn a blind eye to children being killed by their government, and do nothing to try to help or protect them”? If you say this is what he would want people to do, this is the problem I have with a good many “Christians”.

The solution is Jesus and you refuse to see it. I doubt anything else I could say would change your mind. I will tell you this, if the president decides to bomb our enemy’s enemy, more children will be killed. Then the blood will be on America’s hands as well. Al Qaeda hates America and they hate Christians, and if we’re successful in bringing down the current regime, Al Qaeda will grow more evil and kill more innocent people. Holly, I pray that you would seek Jesus — the only truth that saves people.

This picture is supporting the propaganda of the president of Syria and Russia at the expense of the President of the United States. Mr Assad was speaking in an interview with CBS News.
Mr Assad said that in addition to direct responses, indirect impacts could include “instability and the spread of terrorism all over the region that will influence the West directly.”
“We have to expect the worst,” Mr Assad added in the interview.
The president, who said Syria opposes the use of chemical weapons, also said that any strikes would boost the al-Qaeda offshoot in his country. “It’s going to be direct support,” he said.

President is doing NOTHING to give aid to our enemies. And he has not lied in order to get us into a war that only serves his own purposes. What he is trying to do in Syria is to show the regime that breaking international law against using chemical weapons will not go unpunished. There is a restriction on the length of time that we will have; there is a specific commitment that we will NOT send our soldiers into Syria or anywhere else. This is to be Syria’s punishment for breaking international law and for killing their own citizens and children. I’m sick to death of your distortions of the truth and your Obama-bashing. Where were you when we were being lied to about troops on the ground, weapons of mass destruction, and all the other ways Bush & Co. deceived the citizens of the United States into entering a war that was neither budgeted for nor paid for. Your knee-jerk, mindless reaction and lack of any real research and study of the facts diminishes your intelligence and, hopefully, your influence with others. Put in some time in real, actual study and research. Don’t fall for every single anti-Obama snipet that comes around.

When it is your intention to bomb your enemy’s (in this case Al Qaeda) enemy (Al Asaad’s Syria), you are aiding the aforementioned enemy. It doesn’t get any simpler that that.
Secondly, it is not the duty of the United States to enforce international law. I believe the UN should be the one to initiate a response.
Thirdly, I’m not bashing him. The truth is I pray for him daily. Do you? While I’ve made it clear that what he is doing is most likely illegal, it is my hope and prayer that he would step away from this battle. It’s not ours. I have not bashed or mocked him.
Now looking at your comments, I see you are doing a little bashing, as you (first) assume I supported GWB and then call my assumed-support a “knee-jerk and mindless reaction.” My dear, take the log out of your eye. and If you do opt to respond again, keep your remarks civil or I’ll delete them.
Oh by the way, GWB rightly determined that Iraq’s chemical weapons were moved to Syria under the guise of humanitarian aid.

I agree with Gloria, I saw a post of this shared on Facebook, not being able to comment directly on it I decided I would comment on your blog. You say to let the UN handle it? The United Nations couldn’t handle a puppy, if we as Americans did not stand up for international laws no one besides the joke that is the United Nations would. If we Americans hadn’t stood up for what we believed in we wouldn’t even be what we are today. I do not condone supporting Al Qaeda but, I would lose all respect in the American government if we did nothing about this killing of the innocents of Syria. If you delete this post it will just further reinforce my earlier assumptions of you. Of course why would the opinion of one person matter to you? Just remember this,
My name is Legion, for I am many. Power through anonymity. The corrupt fear us, the honest support us, the heroic join us. Because none of us is as cruel as all of us. We do what we can because we have to.

No reason to delete your remark. I just don’t agree with it. I only delete remarks that are foul or abusive. The name ‘legion’ by the way is from the Bible and it is demonic in origin, in case you didn’t know.
Thank you Nick, God bless.

The WORD Legion is a division of the Roman army, usually comprising 3000 to 6000 soldiers. In mark 5:9 it says “And He (Jesus) asked him (the man), “What is thy name?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion: for we are many.”” In essence the demons were comparing themselves to the roman army itself. The word is not demonic in origen. If you can find substantional evidence otherwise please notify me!

It would appear Jay Sekulow and the ACLJ agrees:
“Dear President Obama:
As America responds to the Assad regime’s horrific and criminal use of chemical weapons, do not permit American weapons and Americans soldiers to be used in any way that would expose Christians to genocide and advance al Qaeda and its jihadists allies in Syria.”

There is no way of truly knowing who used the chemical weapons. Therefore, to act now would be foolish.

This is true! Frankly, I would not put it past our enemy (Al Qaeda) to bomb themselves in order to gain sympathy from the world. After all, they are not opposed to blowing themselves up in order to kill Americans.

Dave, I do agree with you. And if we had stronger Constitutionalists in Congress (both Houses) who also had stronger backbones, President Obama would have been impeached in the House and convicted in the Senate, the first time he sent arms to the rebels.
I understand the argument that we can’t allow innocent people to die from chemical weapons–although I don’t understand why that doesn’t apply to the weapons we have sent over there. Or are there no innocent victims under the control of Assad?
Whatever is really going on in Syria is evil. But our entry into the melee, by any means, in not justified when Syria has not attacked us; al queda, on the other hand, has done so.

No typos! Bombing our enemy’s, enemy is not the solution. Bible prophecy declares that Damascus ‘will be’ a ruinous heap. In other words, God does not need our help. May the Lord have mercy on His children.

What does the bible say about protecting children from evil tyranny? Turn a blind eye and let them melt in poisonous gas without repercussions? Is that your Christian point of view? The aren’t Christian so they deserve to die? It’s not our business. I am pretty I recall Jesus saying that quite a bit. Was that in Luke or John? What was the exact quote again? “Dying children? not my problem”?
Did you promote convicting Reagan of treason? He gave Bin Laden quite a few weapons.
